Tricia Chant

Tricia started racing in the late 1990’s, with her first outing in her Dad’s Mk II Cortina at Morgan Park Raceway. Tricia, with her husband Jamie, built a Mk I Escort in 2002, which she raced for many years in Sprints and Hillclimbs across QLD and northern NSW.

Tricia purchased her 1968 Mustang in 2014, and started racing it in 2015 in the 5L/Classic class. The car had previously competed at the famous Pikes Peak Hillclimb in the USA in 2012, where the owner at the time had converted it to right hand drive, and imported it back to Australia.

Tricia has competed each season since 2015, winning the 5L championship in 2019 (and coming 2nd outright) and again taking 1st in 2021. Apart from racing the Mustang, Tricia is also the President of the Historic Leyburn Sprints.
